Cupcake Session at The Warehouse in Amityville!

Although there were a few PTW students at the Warehouse making delicious cupcakes there was one lone wolf from the first year PTW class present for this event and the lone wolf was Maya! Despite the fact that she came a week early and showed up last week ready to make cupcakes on the wrong date she returned this week to get the job done and have some fun! Every time I visited her station she had cupcakes in front of her, a knife in her hand with icing on it but they never made it to the top of the cupcake. I'm not sure where the icing was going perhaps her mouth??? The mystery goes on!!! Maya you are a trooper and I'm glad you made it to the event on the correct date. Hehe just busting your chops Maya, it was great seeing you there at the Warhouse for this fun event. Future PCC member? I hope so.

PCC with Another Cool Meetup in the Nassau County Area!

PCC Positive Community Connections gathered together some awesome creative young adults yesterday at Casa De Spin in Massapequa. We met up, tried something new out for some, and most importantly we came together as group to laugh, chat, and put our creative side to use experimenting with a type of art called spin art. Ms Sue and Bianca of Casa De Spin demonstrated some techniques to carry out this project and we jumped right in to create our own spin art designs. See the photos, it was interesting and definitely fun! Thank you to all that attended and yes the PTW students were again representing with their PCC friends. And more and more PTW students are joining the PCC organization and becoming members as well! "Cupcake bake" up next, Thursday Feb 22nd at The Warehouse in Amityville!   -TC

Kool Spektrum Rocks for a Cause 6/29/23

Tommy G and Carolyn formulated an idea to support Positive Community Connections a non profit organization that supports self directed young adults in connecting them to their communities. Tommy's band Kool Spektrum were scheduled to play Rock City Dogs in Bayshore Thursday June 29th and he explained that he wanted to raise money through his performance at the venue. Raffle baskets, a 50/50 raffle, and Kool Spektrum's killer performance all helped to raise this money which the PCC organization and its members truly appreciate. The night was so cool with Kool Spektrum tearing it up to an audience ready to rock with tons of good energy in the air! Thank you Kool Spektrum for doing what you do!
